Launching into Freed Life...

Restore Corps has been a program of Memphis Leadership Foundation since 2016. Fall 2023, the Restore Corps program is launched as a program under, 501c3 Freed Life.

For 10 years, the Restore Corps Team has been unwavering in cultivating and collaborating with as many partners as possible to provide survivor services with an "Us Together" approach. We recognize a survivor's autonomy and agency, alongside a multitude of first responders, health providers, community supports and more are required for exiting The Life and imagining Life After the Life. Knowing this, we strive to be creative and ever-changing in our approach in order to be a safe space for survivors to find themselves. This next step into a stand alone 501c3 will widen Restore Corps' opportunities to join with survivors in their unique and ever-changing Freed Life.

This launch comes as the Restore Corps team has been responding to nearly 250 referrals in 2023 (as of mid-October), with over 50% of referrals being under the age of 18 years old.

2023 also brought:

  • Launch of Shelby County multi-disciplinary team for Child Trafficking Victims - stakeholders include Restore Corps, Children's Advocacy Center, Shelby County Juvenile Court, Tennessee Department of Children's Services, Memphis Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff Office, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security, Shelby County Crime Victim's Center, Memphis Shelby County Schools, and others
